ORDER

Yes, we can make changes in your order provided your parcel is not handed over to the shipping company. Please e-mail us at support@fifthorigins.com with your change request and we will confirm if we are able to make the change. If we have already handed your order over to the shipping company then we are unable to make any changes.

DELIVERY + SHIPPING

Yes, we ship all over the world.

Each product is made entirely by hand by our skilled artisan partners in small batches. Sometimes it can take upto 4-5 weeks for the entire process. If the products are on stock we will process the order in 4-5 days. On the product page of each product we will indicate if the product is on stock.

*In the current situation related to COVID -19, shipping and delivery might be delayed. We are trying to ensure that all safety measures are taken.

If your delivery address is outside the EU/EFTA, you may have to pay import fees and tax on delivery. Import fees vary widely across the world, so please refer to your local customs office for further information. These taxes and duties are not included in your purchase price and are the responsibility of the customer.

Using the tracking link provided in the shipping confirmation email, your package can be tracked. Remember, for international orders sent via PostNl, it might take up to two – four weeks for the package to get to your home.

If you notice while tracking that your package is stuck somewhere, the easiest way is to contact the carrier directly. If you’re lost please don’t hesitate to contact us at support@fifthorigins.com , we will assist you further.

ABOUT CAPE INFINITY

Cape Infinity and Cape Infinity Lite both are made from 100% organic Himalayan wool which is ethically sourced from free roaming sheep from the high altitudes of the Himalayas. Twice a year sheep herders bring their sheep to a central point where the government representatives help them with carefully shearing the wool. Sourcing the wool from local villages through the sheep herders allows us to keep this process in the value chain sustainable.

Cape Infinity and Cape Infinity Lite are designed in Amsterdam and handcrafted by rural skilled artisans from the northern region of India – Himachal Pradesh and Harayana.

Cape Infinity and Cape Infinity Lite both can be worn in several way (more than 15 different ways). It can also be styled for different occasions. Because it can be worn in different ways it can be your all-weather friend. Take a look at the video, where our founder Sindhu Holla shows various ways of wearing Cape Infinity.

Create very different yet special styles with a simple trick. We call it FLIP.
When worn with a long back, the Cape Infinity looks like a jacket or dress. To turn it into a short vest, FLIP IT over 180 degrees so that the long back becomes the big warm shawl around your neck. Great question! While both Capes are of same size, they are different in design, weight and feel.

Cape infinity is handcrafted using heavier wool ( we use a higher count, and specific twist for developing this yarn and also use wool fibre with a slighly higher micron to give the final product more density) and it is designed using colour blocks which gives it more options to wear and style. It weighs around 500-550gms.

Cape Infinity lite is handcrafted using finer wool (we use a lower count, and different twist technique for developing this yarn and also use wool fibre with a slightly finer micron to give the final product more softeness). It is designed using monochrome colours (though there are 2 different colors used in every cape - one in the warp (length) and one in the weft (in the width), it weighs around 300gms.

RETURNS + EXCHANGES

Not convinced with your purchase, no problem! We want you to be delighted with your every purchase and we understand sometimes you must touch and feel the product to know if it is right for you.

You can return your purchase either for an exchange or for return. We follow a 30-day return policy as long as the returned product/s are unused, unwashed, and returned the way it was sent (in sellable condition) with all the original packaging and tags.

Please note that items will be inspected strictly and used items will not be refunded.

Being a small sustainable brand, we are not able to provide a free return shipping costs, you will have to bear that cost. Thank you for your understanding.

Below items are not returnable/refundable:

1. Customised items

2. Gift cards

3. Partially used gift cards

4. Shipping costs that was initially charged when the order was placed.

5. Customs duty and government taxes etc.

6. Items which were sold as "no waste" sale, products from reLove collection.

Here are the 3 quick steps to return a product:

1. E-mail your request at support@fifthorigins.com along with the reason. (We would appreciate if you could provide us with the feedback as it helps us to improve our product and services.)

2. We will verify your request.

3. Provide you with the return shipping instructions.

* At this stage, we cannot cover your shipping costs, and we appreciate your understanding. You will have to pay for your own shipping costs for returning your item.

As soon as we receive your return, we will inspect it and send you confirmation e-mail if your refund was approved or not, with a reason for doing so. Any approved refund will be processed to your original form of payment. Please note that it might take a maximum of 14 days from the day the return was received to process the returns.

Each product is carefully handcrafted by skilled artisans and has own handmade characteristics which make it one of its kind. If you have questions related to slight irregularities or if you think these irregularities are not acceptable please do reach out to us on support@fifthorigins.com.

WASH + CARE

You can repair or reduce the damage by looking at the direction of the pulled thread and stretching it back in place. Hold your Cape about 10 cms either side of the loop and pull until you see the thread sitting back in place. That should help reduce the damage or repair it completely. If you need further advice, do email us at support@fifthorigins.com. Here is a video showing how to fix the loop.

With just a little extra care and attention you can enjoy your Cape for a lifetime or even pass it on.

If you wear your Cape a lot (which we are sure you will ) air it frequently to keep fresh instead of washing. For those who use their Cape as their travel companion , washing might become necessary. You can choose to wash the entire Cape or just the area that you think has stains. In the next question you will find information on how to wash your Cape.

Washing off entire cape:

We recommend only handwashing your cape. Washing cape in the machine may shrink the cape and misshapen it.

Fill a bucket with lukewarm water (temperature not exceeding 30 degrees Celsius or 86 degrees Fahrenheit) and add few drops of mild detergent or hair conditioner.

Dip your Cape and soak for a few minutes.. Please note that it is normal for dark colours to run color the first few washes.Wash off the soap by dipping the Cape in regular lukewarm water.

Do not wring and let the water drip out. Lay it flat to dry.

You can use the iron on a wool setting. Just remember to place a thin protective fabric between the iron and your Cape.

Washing off a stain:

Wet the stained spot with a drop of baby shampoo and a soft toothbrush, gently brush away the stain in a circular motion.

Rinse off the lather under a tap and lay flat to dry.

Iron it on wool setting using a protective cloth between the iron and your Fifth Origins Cape.

When you are not using from your Fifth Origins Cape it’s best to fold it and store it in the Fifth Origins cloth bag.

Here are some tips of how to care for your Cape Infinity (tried and tested by us)

1. Washing your Cape Infinity might not always be the right solution. We noticed that when you give your Cape a steam iron it helps to make it look fresh, removes any odour, bacteria and wrinkles. Do give it a try :)

2. A little secret that our elders use to keep the textiles smelling great is to make an herb sachet tucked in between your garments. Just bundle a couple of herbs - cinnamon sticks, cardamom, peppercorns in a small cloth/ sachet.

3. Please avoid bringing the Cape in contact with any sharp objects as this will lead to pilling and/ or getting the yarn out of it's place.

ABOUT HORIZON MASK

Horizon Face Masks can be washed in a machine at 60 degree celsius. After wash, strectch the masks to bring it to it's original shape and size and lay it flat to dry. You can also iron it if required.

Please note that bleach should not be used to wash these masks. If bleach is used then it will discolor the masks.

Horizon face masks feature three layers of 100% natural and sustainable fabrics: front layer constitutes of hemp and organic cotton and then there are two layers of high-thread-count cotton filter. Wash and reuse our masks for an environmentally friendly alternative. They are handmade and hand-stitched by small groups of artisans in India.
