These vests carry stories across continents. Originally worn in the Global North—jeans, skirts, and shorts in all shapes and sizes—they arrive in India in large bundles, sold by hawkers who carefully sort and prep them for their next life.

We buy these in bulk, sift through the piles, and select the strongest, most interesting pieces. These are then cleaned, cut, and collaged into new sheets of denim fabric. Once the patchworked panels are ready, we cut them into our signature vest silhouette—the same beloved shape as our Kantha vests.

Made from 100% post-consumer denim, each vest is crafted using reclaimed jeans, skirts, and other denim garments. The fabric is carefully patchworked, giving new life to worn materials while keeping their strength and character.

Our Recycled Denim Vest is designed to fit a wide range of body types. It fits up to size EU50/UK25/US20. If you’re unsure about sizing or need assistance, feel free to message us on WhatsApp—we’re happy to help.

Care Instructions

Hand wash only and lay flat to dry. Denim will soften with time, becoming even more comfortable with each wear.

Though this piece doesn’t yet carry a traditional artform, it’s deeply rooted in hands-on craftsmanship. From selecting and reclaiming fabric scraps to building patchworked panels and stitching each vest with care, this process honors material and maker alike. Our vision is to collaborate with artisans to bring embroidery, applique, or other textile artforms into future editions—merging utility with tradition, and circularity with craft.
